I have lots of washers, in stock and ready to ship.


I found the mirror studs are 3/8" NC but the thread profile is slightly different than the general specifications for a 3/8" NC nut. It requires re-threading the stud with a die nut to get them to go on nicely. If the West Coast Mirrors have the 3/8" NC studs it's likely the nuts will work. 4 Stainless nuts are $20. and $10 for shipping the washers and nuts.

In the past I wasn't charging for shipping the washers, but some didn't make it. I was sending them taped to the inside of an envelope. Didn't work all that well and caused more issues than it was worth.
Bottom line, $35 for the for nuts and a set of washers for two mirrors.
I am not making anything for my time. Could be a couple weeks, for the nuts, they are completed in my spare time and I don't have a lot of it.

Can you make extra tall acorn nuts? I would like a pair of them for my 5x7 mirrors. No one offers them for 1/4-28 threads that I can find.

I don’t have a picture of the nut I’m looking for, but here is what I have. I want to cover the threads on the stud with an acorn nut.

Did you want to replace the nut also?
Or just have a cover for the existing 1/4 NF-threads?

I have sold all the nuts I have produced. I will not be producing any more. They seem simple enough but the time to manufacture them is just too long. Some day I will be able to do them using a CNC. I will still sell the washers till I am out of stock.

I have included a picture of the custom 1/4" nuts and washers I built for 70STOVEBOLT.

I have a small CNC (Shureline) I have been building on for some time.
It is too small to really do the nuts. Mainly because the head-stock bore is too small.
