To me the rally's just look right on the trucks and you can go so many different ways with the looks and set up. I know the 295's look like they belong there and arent out of porportion at all IMO. |

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?
cant seem to find a picture of it on this computer but i have a 96 k1500 with a torsion bar crank and 35s, the only time it rubbed with the mickey thompson wheels i had was when i jumped it and with stock wheels it rubbes the frame at full turn. i trimmed valence and bumper a little and cut end bent the back of the front fender a bit. the rear with the mickey thompsons rubbed the outside of the tire on the lip of the fender at full stuff.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?
I have had no issues whatsoever with ride or handling and I have driven 130K miles on 315/75R16s with a 7 inch rim. I even converted my buddy to 315s and he runs them on his 2001 1500 HD with the 16" x 6.5" rim and he has had no problems. I'm not sure if they will fit on a stock blazer or not? They might but my truck has a 2-3" suspension lift.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?
Yours does look taller than a stock blazer. You can see the tire leaning in at the top alittle like the torsion bars have been turned up. My lift is basically like just turning the bars up. It's a kit that Rough Country offered advertised as a 2-3 inch lift. I got it back in '05 so i'm not sure if they still make it. It's an Add a leaf rear, new torsion bars, new upper control arms and differential drop brackets. That's a good looking blazer by the way! I have always thought it would be cool to have one of those trucks with 315s on it because it would look tall with that shortwheel base. Post some pics when you get the new tires.

265/75/16s on some American racing wheels. Changed the backspacing so when I add fender flares it will look stock.

My Burb came stock with P245/75R16's and the ugliest alloys ( IMHO) GM ever made. The rims on it now are 17's from a 2005 Avalanche with P265/70R17's. I've had lots of compliments about the Avalanche rims on my Burb. A great upgrade for not much money.

255/85-16 Cooper Discoverer STs on Ford 7" wheels. 33" tall w/o the excessive width and no need to lift, just cranked up torsion bars. It goes through mud and snow better than lifted trucks with bigger tires. Rolls down the hiway better, too

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?
Basic set up:
Front end: Lowered about 4” with 2” drop spindles and drop springs Cut fender flange lip off flush with inner fender well, spot welded inner & outer back together and ground smooth. Pulled inner fender well bolt directly above tire out. Rear end: Lowered about 6’ with axle flip kit and c-notch plates. Added some air-assist air bags so he could have some adjustability on rear ride height and adjust for carrying a load or pulling a trailer. Had to do some e-brake relocating and rerouting to clear air bags and keep from rubbing the inside of the wheel and tires. Rolled rear fender flange with vise grips and shot filled rubber mallet. Then with a hydraulic-jack a 2x4 slightly widened the outer fender paying very close attention to the sheet metal as to not distort anything. Gained about 3/8” Wheels and Tires: Front: Showheels Streeters 18” x 8” with 0 offset mounted with Falken Ziex ZE-612 (235/60R-18) Rear: Showheels Streeters 18” x 9” with a +6 offset mounted with Falken Ziex ZE-612 (265/60R-18) More: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=621197 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps5e5f17c9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps1c9542b8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps9773ce38.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps5ecfc56d.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps561afbae.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psa74fda28.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps91986931.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps358b8bf4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps338f2ed7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ps8a4f173c.jpg |
