Love this setup. I've been debating on building full door panels but I don't want to drill holes for fasteners. Nice look just to upholster the original panel and give it some design. Is that a reworked factory bench? |

I just got my seats back from the upholster. These are my phantom Chevy truck bucket seats. I built them from 2 bench seats. All hardware works on both seats. They both adjust like stock and the seat backs tilt forward. I finished the frames in 2013. Maybe what bucket seats could have looked like on our trucks if Chevy had offered them. I had to set them in the cab to check the look.

I took a 1990 Chevy bench seat and cut off the extendable head rests and took 2” off of the seat frame to lower it from sticking up into the big back window of my truck. The seat will be recovered to match the truck. My pet peeve is never put a late model seat in an old vehicle without recovering it. If you leave it stock it looks like you didn’t have enough money to finish the job right. Just sayin !!! |

Re: Show us you're seats
So I came across this for sale ad while scrolling through the local Craigslist. Description says it seems to be a factory deluxe full foam seat that the seller recovered. My question is what would be a decent price to offer him so as not to lowball him but not get the short end of the stick on the deal either? I haven’t had any upholstery done in quite a while and I have no clue what a deluxe seat usually goes for.

Some of the seats came with a plywood base with foam from the factory.

Mine are 3rd row Suburban seats, I wanted these for the seat belts being built into them..
I used 1998 Yukon powered bucket seat frames and kept the heating elements also.. They are the right Height and leg room.. with the 1998 seat Brackets.. |

Kind of appreciate the simple look myself. This is the black vinyl pre-sewn cover from LMC.

Where did you source all the stuff and what did this stuff cost if you don’t mind me asking? I’m in need of some seat repair on my bench, but this may not be as costly...... Regards Greg |

Do you know what model these are from shop4seats? They have a sale going on and free shipping. This may be cheaper than repair and recover costs and that foam we’re all looking at on the other thread. Regards Greg |
