And with many putting putting in a "max bid" and letting ebay software automaticly bit up to your max.. Then the seller can bid it up in slow amounts and get a feel when the real bidders slow and then let real bidders fight for it.. It's done all the time.. some forget many on ebay it is their job/carrier paycheck.. They have all day to do this.. |
Re: Hub caps
Hey Davepl I am with you...first off your truck is beautiful...I am doing a 72 super with as much NOS as I can,,it is taking forever to accumulate parts and costing more than I really have to spend but I decided I would like to do one truck in my life as nice as I can get it,,probably be finished when I can't drive anymore..then the kid will get it and put an LS motor in it...anyway I searched out the nicest set of caps I could find for it and price did not matter((thanks jimer1964))...rarity=$$ with these things. What you paid is icing on the cake for a truck well done......Rob

Here's one of the other sets of NOS caps I bought last year. This one more like $200 for the set, because they're more common (1969 Pontiac w/Disc Brakes).

Re: Hub caps
Here's an NOS radiator cap for $450 if anyone needs one :-)

Re: Hub caps
Uh oh Dave, you're getting off track. That's not too bad. Payments are $41 for 12 months. I wonder how much the N.O.S. radiator it needs would cost, $4,500?
I have a set of '64-'71(?) Pontiac hubcaps for my '67 GMC. Now I see Ames is selling reproductions. It seems if there is enough demand for poverty caps on Pontiacs it's there for these trucks for sure. The repops are selling for $319 a set https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=...ItAIwBA&adurl= |
Re: Hub caps
I have 16 inch 3 nub wheels on my 1/2 ton 4x4, which center caps could I use?
|
Re: Hub caps
1/2t caps. The nubs don't matter when it comes to hubcaps. That's to do with drum brakes/3 nub and disc brakes/4-nub. 69-75 used the same hubcap and you can use the 76-91 style as well. You can also run car hubcaps, but need to cut the holes for front hubs.
