Thanks man!

It's actually a scarab III S-Type. Very close to the panther though! Working and spending money on trucks is nothing compared to toying with boats "BOAT=Break Out Another Thousand"

She is a mean ***** though, here is a vid of her idling at the dock!

A guy a lot smarter than me said a boat is basically a hole in the water that you're supposed to fill with money.

like the boat
the cool thing about that boat is it make's these duallys look like nickles and dimes and you can almost get excited about the great fuel economy they get at 10mpg

not to jack the thread but I got a guy that lives close to me that installed a 1350HP gas turbine (helicopter engine) in a 30ft Kevlar offshore race boat. Converted to a pleasure boat she reaches speeds of 130mph while running through the San Juan Islands in NW Washington State.

Today's progress.....

- Removed front hangers
- Removed overload stop plates
- Cut 36 rivets (what a PITA)
- Modified front hanger to achieve another 5/8" drop. I drilled a new hole 1.25" higher in the hanger which translates to 5/8" at the axle.
- Mounted one new hanger
- Removed both gas tanks (going to replace with a between the rails burb tank)

That's actually becoming a popular mod these days. I have toyed with the idea in my boat but not quite ready to make the leap. I have I guy near me that has 2 turbines in a 36' skater cat! I met the guy on a forum similar to this and he told me if I want a ride to give him a call! I might just have to take him up on the offer.

I have been looking for led lights for both of my duallys. Where did you find them? I have a 77 single cab I am about to start and an 89 crew cab I am just about finished with.

Your probably right, she lived her whole life in Texas and I plan to keep her rust free. She will never see snow/salt and lives in a heated garage all winter!

Thanks!

The rear is as done as possible for now. Waiting on new u-bolts, and stylinconcepts sent me two different rear shocks so I need to have them swap one out.

7 +1 overload +1 large flat mounted directly above the axle.

While were on the subject, do you or anyone know what the big flat leaf right above the axle is for? It isn't attached to the other leafs and if I could remove it I would gain another 1" of drop!

I looked at my options and chose to move the hole up in the hanger instead. I am also trying to figure out if I can remove the big flat leaf spring that is located directly above the axle. If I can remove that then I will gain roughly another 1" on top of the 5/8" that I gained by moving the hole in the hanger.

Had to do a little grinding where the brake line attaches to the caliper so I could change the angle the line exited the caliper. This was necessary as the line was now touching the upper balljoint due to the drop spindle

I like the setup u used to take the bed off. Wished I had seen it when I replaced the bed on on my truck. I will probably have to pull it again in the near future and that looks like possibility. Thanks.

The nice thing about the setup is it allowed me to take it off by myself. I will have to say pigrig commented on the way he takes his off and his way sounds even easier. I might try his the next time I have to remove mine!

YES you can take that upper over load spring off. It was designed to go againist brackets on the frame which you have already removed. Take that one spring and that funny hollow block from the spring pack.

I do have plans to remove the top overload spring. My question is in regards to the flat spring located on the bottom of the spring pack. It is located right above the axle.
