Spraying outside can be tricky.....in a garage, doors almost down with fans to pull fumes out, filters for air coming in. Wet the floor down, reduce dust. Practice panel to get the gun set....I did the white 1st, cover most of the parts you don't want white....keep the over spray and dust off....reverse.
Remove tape and paper and tarps. ...mask off white after it dries about an hr or more, 3m blue painters tape is good stuff.....Cheers Ed.

Copy that! Thanks man

Well my first attempt at painting. Went pretty good! Not sure that the color match is perfect but it’s close. Tipped the cab onto its back to paint the roof and ceiling and then rolled it back over to get the rest. Actually surprised how smooth the paint laid down.

That looks good!
Makes me want to paint the interior of my truck once I fix all the rust

Looks great, hot color with white just pops. Your going to need to mask off the interior when you get that done keep the over spray out.

First of all, thanks guys! I just couldn’t take it though. I want the original or as close to the original as I can get. So after a lot of research I found a color I think matches a LOT better. I guess this new color is the color they used in 69. Not sure why the colors from 63 don’t match. But I am happy with this color and like you say, the white will really make it pop! Too bad I have a gallon of that other orange! If anyone can use it I would be happy to give it to them. The second photo is of the inside of the door jam where it doesn’t have as much color fade.

New color looks great, it does seem to match better. 1 gallon of color is going to be close, even with the white. Painting skills looking good.

Thanks man. I have heard about nightmares later on like cracking and such.... hopefully I won’t have any problems. If it holds up and the rest of the project goes that easy I will be stoked!

Sounds good to me. Someone might as well use it. I like the color it just doesn’t match. How would you want to take ownership of it?

Send me a PM with your contact info again and we'll work out the details. I do not have it still from our past business.

Well I finished these up last week, wish I would have talked to Roll the Dice before I did.... his lines look better then mine but I still think the turned out good. I am thinking about doing a thin pin stripe of the orange around the edge. Not sure yet, maybe black.

Placed another LMC order to finish up the dash. Heater cables, instrument panel lights and a couple other items. Performance online is supposed to be swapping me motor mounts, hopefully they follow through.

I think it looks good...The 2 tone is a nice break on the door! Our builds are so similar!

Looking good....On the glove box door, those 4 horizontal lines in your accent color.....3m fine line tape is good stuff for crisp clean lines.....

You are doing great. If this is your first build... wow, very nice. And, by the way, a family heirloom is the best motivation there is.

Real good advice and help 'Notsolo'.

Well yesterday was a crappy day. I was exposed to a positive COVID person for about 3 hours in a vehicle. I have been placed on admin leave from work for 14 days. Had my wife get the camp trailer ready, thank goodness I have a camper! I am now quarantined from my family for 14 days as well. At least they can visit me from a distance. Probably see a little bit more accomplished on my truck as long as I don’t get sick. Y’all stay safe out there

Thanks man I appreciate the prayers. God is in control and He will only allow what is in His will. Not too worried, just want to keep my family safe.
