Engine and transmission install for my 47 Chevy Thriftmaster using c5 corvette exhaust manifolds, about 1/4 inch clearance on each side.

Will sure be a big change when done, nothing like modern power compared to what it came with, at least you have some clearance.

Picked this olde California hippie Bus up from Utah with the hole cut in the roof and it's home-made westfalia type camping roof.
Being as I am in the UK I needed to get someone to install a donor roof panel I had sourced rather than try and import such a oversized panel. All recomendations led me to Starlite Rod&Kustom back over in Cali...

Once mediablasted I will be shipping the ride back over to the UK where I am itching to get my hands dirty and finish it off

Here is my new project. It is titled as a 53. Not so sure about that as the doors tell a different story. The plans are going to be vastly different from my last build.

This project with be built with help from my two young boys (6 & 8) and provide us with a low, patina clad daily driver. They have been excited with what little work we have done since we picked it up late yesterday evening.

I have wanted one of these for sometime now.

Thanks man...Funny thing is I found it in MI 6 miles from my house and the body is in really good shape. No real rot. It originally came from Oregon.

Yes it's crazy. The middle and back seats look fine I would just need to clean them. The front ones including the jump seat need to be recovered. I was just glad that it had them all. They aren't cheap to buy them after the fact.

Yeah the stock bomber style seats are cool, unfortunately my newest panel has some from something else and my 49' panel's seats are beat. Thought about making some cool bomber seats you see some guys make. I always liked that look.

Looks like a real solid start. Having the seats is even more rare. Most of the time they are long gone and almost impossible to find. Hope you start a build thread on it cant wait to follow along.
