Today started out with a small surprise while walking JoJo...:exit:
Not a fan of Poisonous Snakes… https://farm1.staticflickr.com/653/2...ae8158d8_c.jpgIMG_4976 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Then when I got to work, the Alternator offered by Scott arrived...:metal: along with other goodies…;) https://farm1.staticflickr.com/617/2...9a9a63b0_c.jpgIMG_4983 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr |
Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Lol, I don't like snakes either. My project while my mom and stepdad are on vacation is to take the interior out of the 1957 American Motors Rambler wagon that my stepdad picked up on Monday. He said that the car has been sitting in a yard for 30+ years and he found a Black snake skin in it. Your project is coming along nice Don.

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
My truck came from Wichita KS. and when it came to my place in ont. Canada I left it out outside to freeze all the critters/crawlers/spiders and every thing else that is deadly that we don't have. You guys keep them down there

Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...

I haven't driven the truck since the day I replaced the switch… The horn is hooked to an external button instead of the steering wheel button… Now there's an electrical issue to trace… Fun, NOT!!! |
Re: Donz '72 LWB Shop Truck...
Glad to see you out cruising

Thanks Scott for the answer about the relay that was clicking… ended up being the Horn relay, after unplugging the horn relay, the voltage draw is gone…;) The horn is still working via the external button a PO had installed… Not sure what was up with the horn relay becoming a voltage draw… any insight will be most welcome… gotta love 43 year old wiring that PO's have hacked on...:sumo: Yesterday while driving, I noticed how worn the Gauge cluster looked, so… I pulled it out looking like this… https://farm1.staticflickr.com/738/2...01fbec63_c.jpgIMG_5155 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Back in looking like this…;) https://farm1.staticflickr.com/613/2...86307186_c.jpgIMG_5157 by Donald Olivo, on Flickr Upon removal, I found I was missing a few of the dash light sockets and bulbs, so when I get those in I will pull everything back apart and paint the gauge needles then...:chevy: |

Yesterday I visited Hadrian's wall, (built by the Romans to mark the edge of thier empire just over 2000 years ago), with my wife Shelly, son Jake and dog Toby. It's a great place to go for a walk but boy was it cold and foggy. Anyway thought you might appreciate the name of two places along the wall.
Apparently the names go back to the Battle of Hexham (during the War of the Roses) in the 1400's when it was agreed by the Yorkshire foot soldiers that one inn on the military road had stronger ale than another because it was brewed twice.
