The grill is on and it looks great. I still need to install he splash apron and the passer side parking light so we will see how that goes today. Afte that is done it's time to work on the hood... I'm going to start looking for a suitable gold that matches best to
The original 50th anniversary color and I'll do the front clip that color. So pictures this weekend or sooner if I can :)

Thanks cameron! Installed the splash apron Monday and I wet sanded the hood.. Made itnlook a Little
Better, some of the blue came back! Lol so I'll have to
Do some body work to it an primer it.

I did also fix the passenger side sun visor screw hole, one of the PO's put to big up a screw and it stretched the hole, so I took a center punch and beat the hole back small
Again, now the screw fits and the sun visor hook is on! Finally
Lol.

Not sure if this is what you are after, the manual locking hubs on the 77 alxe are the same as yours on the 68.

Re: build thread " 4 by" 68 custom camper 4wd 1/2ton

OK, i think i figured this stuffs out lol.....

77 4wd system: axle is always engaged but transfer case is not until you shift it.
67 72 4wd system: you can select weather the axle is free or locked and transfer case is not locked until you shift it.

correct??????

if so then all i have to do is remove the caps and install all my dads gears and manually locking hubcaps on the axle and we are good correct????

well i took apart the A/C boxes under the dash and put them back in the best i could and got them all butted up against each other so i wouldnt be losing any air around the boxes. then i put all the hoses back in cleaned. also when we got the truck there were after market speakers and radio in the truck, i took the radio and pseakers out last year..... i finally took all the uneeded wires that went to that radio and those speakers.... there was a bunch! much better under the dash now.... i got an original AM radio for it and finally was able to plug it in with the original wires into the radio plug on the fuse box( the aftermarket radio was using that spot) so here are pictures of how it all cleaned up and one of all the wires i took out
