Hi Frank, got the stainless taillights you turned me on to installed. Had to notch the mounting brackets for the plugs and silicone the wires in. They work great and are real bright! Your truck is looking good. I used the white parking lights on mine also, I think they look better than the amber ones. Thanks bud, Duane

Re: 1957 Chevy Truck
Those are really nice headers... but i gotta say, I'm a huge fan of how your whole front end tilts up for ALL THAT ROOM. That's awesome. Does it rattle around at all when cruising?

I love the tilt nose too. All original steel welded together. It rattles a little bit but not too bad. I have a strip of foam to pad the area under the windshield . That keeps it pretty quiet |

Very nice.

Yours fit with NO interference? We're they advertised as block huggers? TIP: I read online somewhere. If your header bolts tend to come loose? Cut the flange between each header pipe. Just a neat slice, not cut a section out. I haven't tried it but I would if I buy new. |
Re: 1957 Chevy Truck
Frank,
Is the description of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SBC-Small-Bl...481f26&vxp=mtr About like yours were described? 1-5/8" tubes, 2-1/2" collectors, 5/16" flanges, etc? You didn't say if yours are ceramic coated or stainless? |
Re: 1957 Chevy Truck
Dan - there's so many different headers ... I searched for ones that looked like the shape I needed... I definitely needed the front pipe to stay high . There was no fit issue at all on passenger side . On drivers side it fit but it's touching the steering shaft. Not the part that moves , just the outer sleeve. I'm gonna put a flat spot in that tube so it doesn't touch. Other than that it fits like a glove . Stainless steel.
Here's the exact listing on eBay http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=231480002253 |
