Re: Suburban and panel finds
Looks a bit rough on the inside and I thought a 289 was a Ford engine.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Ugh! Criminal abuse there! But if the engines were not locked up and the original seats were in her, along with all the other good parts we can't see right off, that would be a nice Burb even for that money (4x4 frame, etc).

Ominous lack of rust information but it is a high desert listing. Reasonable price.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
This truck is back up for sale again. Looks like the new owner bought it just to resell it.
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/cto/5744037873.html I'm pretty sure it just sold for $18K recently, or close to that. The old add said $18 OBO. |

69 panel Price seems high but they aren't on every corner either.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Ya I saw that one myself. Body is a bit banged up on it.
The panel (1969 also 2wd and blue) I found last summer and posted to this thread actually ran and I called the seller. It came down to "where are you going to put it?" and right now I don't have a cheap answer to that. I'd literally have to rent garage space. I have plenty of parking space, but leaving a panel outside isn't the best option. Once I get my truck running I'll have one more option. Plus I am going to try and get my dad to allow me to put a metal building/garage/welding shop onto his property. That would give me one more covered parking area plus workshop. Oh but I do want a panel though! |

Looks like a good deal with a lot of the hard work done. Even better if you like green :gmc2:

North Idaho find, of course its a 4x4. Having been raised there as a loggers son I didn't even know they made two wheel drive suburbans until I joined the Navy

Hard to say if it's yellow or green. But it looks good and I like the matching spare tire. No cover needed.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
I know this truck has been posted before but the price was just lowered. I've been looking for a Suburban for the past few months but I've also been waiting on getting paid for another vehicle that I'm selling so I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet.
I think this is one of the best deal that is listed on Craigslist right now. Wish it was closer. http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/5753777797.html Nick |

Re: Suburban and panel finds
Yeah that's a complete running and driving vehicle that's already been painted. It looks really nice, newer style seats inside. If I had the money to buy I would be seriously considering it.

Re: Suburban and panel finds
$7500 seems like a steal!!! Somebody should grab this up quick!!!

There is a 72 K10 in Norwood, MA that has been for sale for a little while. He just lowered the price as well. https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/cto/5771315043.html |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
Thanks, but I already drove from NJ to NC last year to buy a 2wd with almost no rust. I figured 4x4 was easier to convert than fixing rust in the long run, so I "settled" for a clean C10. But for the year I looked before I bought I couldn't find a decent K that was low rust.
Just got one of those elusive no rust upper hatches for mine, pretty much the only thing that had rust on/in it when I got it. |

Perhaps within a year or so I'll break down and get one of these.....as for rust well they all have that don't they? |
Re: Suburban and panel finds
That's how I like to buy em, oe paint, stock. Needs a lot of lower body work, from the Rockers back just from pics, looks real good though. I wouldn't go over $3000
