I also picked up a set of 15x8 6 lug wheels. I will use a couple of them for the rear. Just brought 4 new tires, now I'll have to buy 2 more so i can get a little wider in the back. Wish i didn't replace all 4 three weeks ago lol

She's all loaded up and heading back to Colorado! I'll let y'all know how it rides. Bill at QA1 drove it and says it is a blast to drive! So stoked to try it out.

I finally got to drive it today. WOW! This thing handles corners so well. Take corners as fast as you wish. The only problem is trying to keep my ass planted on the bench seat. Ha! Highly Highly Highly recommend this QA1 coil over setup!

Thank you to all. It's getting better every time I update something. If I only had more time... I've been super busy at work and trying to get stuff done around the house.

PS: This truck is up for Truck Of The month if you want to vote for it, :metal:

Got some new exhaust. Kept the stock single pipe, but had them cut a hole in the cross member to route the pipe up higher. Also had the opportunity to get a few more pictures of the suspension. I know how we all love pictures!

Drives extremely nice! It is a friggin blast to drive. Although 600hp under the hood would be awesome, the 3 on the tree and straight six ads to the driving experience I think. Not very many people know what that even is. So it acts as a theft system too!

Very nice!! Are you going to try the 8 inch rims all the way around? I have 6 inch on the front.

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver

Ok guys here is an update. The truck handles incredibly well. I need some of your expertise. I have a decent vibration at 58+ mph (its been this way, nothing to do with the new suspension). I thought it felt like it was coming from a pulley on the motor or a U joint. Both U joints have been replaced and when I rev up the engine its smooth as can be. I also replaced the seal in the back of the trans when I had the drive shaft out. Maybe drive shaft needs balanced, but it's the original and I would think it should be good? Any ideas? I know its a million dollar question, but I thought maybe someone out there had experienced this situation? The thing runs smooth at 55mph. Maybe it just wasn't meant to go that fast. But I cant drive 55! haha

Thanks for the suggestions in advance

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver

hi, before I put the cab back on I put the truck on jack stands and ran it threw the gears, it turns out I had a bent axle that was a new replacement and my tail shaft leaked on my new monster 700r4, they replaced that axle was also bent, so I went and bought some high dollar axles and took the stock ones back, its worth a try

Re: '66 Budget friendly driver

What kind of rpm are you turning? Could be shaft vibration in the higher rpm's.
Might talk to Drivetrain Ind. in GJ about shaft size vs rpm.
