Thanks! Too bad it's been ridiculously cold and I havent been able to pull the truck out of the garage. I know I can't wait!!! Have you brought your truck to the show? If so, which one is it so I know who to look for!

I wish I could drive mine!! I am doing the block sanding now and it just about to wear me out!! I just sand and sand, and cant see any progress after a days work. Its just smoother. ( i hope) LOL

Right now I've been working on taking the cab down to metal and getting it primed. Tonight I finished up bringing the top to metal and I've sprayed epoxy primer which will be followed up with the high-build primer tomorrow. I'm cleaning up all of the area around the firewall and plan on shooting color on the firewall in the near future so that the eng/trans can go in.:metal: CANT WAIT. The only part that I'm not really looking forward to is cleaning up around the inside of the dash and what not but I'm thinking I'll mask off the rest of the chassis and sandblast the areas I can't reach with a DA sander...which works great by the way!

Also, and suggestions and tips on the best ways to bring it to metal?

Cool. You know we are all pictures wh*res!

We use airplane stripper and a razor blade, sounds like a lot of work but it does make it quick. Put it on with a paintbrush, let it sit for 20 minutes then use the blade on it. Repeat as necessary.

Yep including myself haha. Sweet that sounds like a good idea. I think I'll try it.

Alright I promised some pics so here they are. I wasn't able to spray the high build primer tonight because I decided to seam seal the drip rail where I had removed the previous sealer. I'll wait for that to get a little harder overnight before I clean it up. I also painted my bell housing and got a 600 cfm Holley no charge courtesy of 62ls1! We bought the truck from him and he's been huge help throughout the entire build and I can't thank him enough. We have the rebuild kit for the carb and I've also begun work on that.

I also cut out and welded this up. I reconstructed how the window frame originally was with the inside part of the dash as well as the outer part you see. And here's the rig I've been using.

haha tons ! thanks! Yea I forgot to mention I welded up 9 unneeded holes in the firewall to clean it up a little. I need to get everything out of the bed and take it off so that I can tilt the cab back in order to get a better angle for painting the firewall.
