I found paint that color on my 57, haven't decided on mine but florishent green with orange bumpers and grill. That's what I'm thinking.

very cool truck! i like the 68 crossmember swap, very effective. is the rustoleum you used the gallon spray gun paint or spray cans? looks really good

i did a temporary paintjob with rustoleum spray cans..under $4/can... it came out pretty good....but in the end, after a few months i decided to have a friend with a body shop paint the whole truck. he used one gallon of Omni single stage

57chevyman, Your truck really looks good with its new paint job. You took some good pictures of the front clip and that has helped me make the decision to fill in the body lines between fenders and hood on mine. I was on the fence about that but those pictures pushed me over. You have done a lot work on the truck these past 2 years and it looks great. Thanks for unknowingly helping me with the decision of to fill or not to fill.

"before and after" collage of old blue. its come a long way in 2 1/2 years!

upgrades /repairs ive done since purchasing in summer 2013:

got heat working
new battery tray
new brake light switch
detail engine. new valve covers, new air cleaner.
got dome light working, installed door pin switches
installed retrosound radio with subwoofer
new wood steering wheel
new dual MC
all new brake lines
disc brakes up front w/ 2" drop spindles
new drums in back
new parking brake cables
5" blocks removed from rear.
new shocks in rear.
new '65 mustang tank under bed. new fuel line.
new rear bumper
new tail lights and new tail light wiring
1988 bed swapped for a 1956 bed.
new wood kit with stainless steel strips
new sideview mirrors
new headlight bezels
new window cranks and inside door handles
Stainless steel headers.
3" stainless steel dual exhaust with cherry bombs.
polished and reused existing stainless steel tips
