Nice! I checked out that suspension setup on HRPT last year and I was impressed with it. I'll be looking forward to hearing your opinions on it after it is back on the road. I know of a few others that are thinking about using it also.

So did the LS swap take a back seat until after the suspension upgrade, or will you be doing it at the same time?

The LS swap will not take place until after Power Tour. Going to try and take our time so it turns out the way we want. Summer is a good time since the boy won't need the truck to get to school.

Crappy pics but you get the idea, rear QA1 coilover conversion is about buttoned up, on to the front next.

I have a feeling there will be a lot of people wanting to go for a ride in it for HRPT, including me!

I've been eyeing that suspension setup for my project's future. Really curious to see how it rides/handles after. Details! :)

Update photos of the QA1 coilover conversion... I'll get some pics of it outside soon, It's definitely a little lower all the way around.

Some pics of the completed coilover conversion... The pics were taken in a dark area of the shop where they do alignments so they aren't great but you get the idea. The quality is outstanding and the installation was very straight forward.

How do you like the wilwood calipers? Installed the same ones a few weeks ago.

They work well, we get a squeak out of the rears sometimes but other than that they work awesome.

I actually sold them to Russ Cunningham, he hasn't picked them up yet but they are paid for.

Had a great time this weekend with the Old Girl, we rode over to the Deadend Garage Crawfish Cruise In in Vancleave Mississippi. Had a wonderful time and met a lot of folks from the IG and 67-72 truck chevy board. Definite highlights were meeting and talking with Rene Martinez (C10King), John Oro (JOHNORO), and a great surprise Shorty or Short Dog from Shorty's Custom Paint. I really love meeting people who have had such a positive influence on our hobby, especially C10s in particular, and are really down to earth... these three are certain outstanding examples. Big shout out to Jason and Angela Polite as well as the entire Deadend Garage family for their hospitality, they put on an great get together for sure!! A couple pics from the meet..

So we haven't done a lot lately, we did get the A/C charged and it seems to be doing well. Definitely a plus with summer and the Power Tour coming up. We also changed the oil in preparation for the tour, we are hoping for a trouble free trip. Here's a gratuitous pic from the other day...
