Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
If you use the factory booster mounting brackets, that booster might fit. If you use the booster mount that comes as the regular production part, it will not fit. The '69-'72 has the least room for a booster out of the 4 hydraulic clutch conversions that I fabricate. If you inform me of your intentions ahead of time, I will delete the booster mounts from the base plate at a cost reduction of $25.00.

Capt. Fab, Do the welded on nuts act as a spacer to get the stroke length of the linkage correct for the master cylinder? The image to the right is of another truck in this thread and it doesn't have this style. Also, does the blackened steel sleeve supposed to have threads in it? Mine does. I would assume this should be a thru hole and only serve as a spacer to gain the right alignment for the heim joint. |
Re: '67-'72 Power Brake Booster Bracket With Hydraulic Clutch Conversion
All of the parts you received are the current production parts and are correct for all 4 of my hydraulic clutch conversions. I changed the design several years ago and simply have not had the time with working 80hrs/7 days a week every week every month, to mock up and take all new pictures to replace the pics from 10+ years ago. Two of the pics on the pages included with your kit, show the new design.
Yes those coupling nuts welded on the back of the pivot block must be there. Yes the threaded standoff is supposed to be threaded. It is threaded 3/8"-16 on one end and 5/16"-18 on the other end. It bolts to the clutch pedal with the 3/8"-16 x 1" bolt once you drill the hole and the heim joint bolts to the standoff with the 5/16"-16 x 1" bolt. |
