use searchtempest.com to search all the craigslist ads nation wide at one time it gives you all the ads starting with those closest to you first ,Works great and saves time .:chevy:

There is a black Sierra Grande in Alaska I was tempted to buy when I was searching. Sadly it's owned by a guy who inherited it from a friend who died and so he wasn't eager to negotiate on the price. I think he wanted $15K for it. I'll see if I can dig up any info if you're interested.
Pretty sure this is a '72 because it looks like the mirror is on the windshield. But I've also heard only 71s got the Disc Brake sticker, so I'm not 100% certain. Sorry, no SPID pics but it's clearly got: - 4x4 - Air Conditioning - Sierra Grande Trim (yay!) - Buckets - Houndstooth - Gauges |

It all depends on your budget ? There are many unmolested clean trucks out there but none are cheap or easy to find ,What's your budget ?:smoke: There is no sense in dragging sellers to you if your looking for a project ? or a finished /garage kept truck ?

Original condition K10 are a hard find , be patient and keep shaking the bushes and you will get lucky, just a matter of time

Don't they charge for advertising? I know nothing about the economics of forums, other than the CPM/CPC rate is terrible usually. I sent a message inquiring about buying the board once and never got a response, so I presume they're not terribly mercenary about it.

DavePL - I'd def like to talk to the owner of the Alaska K10 if you can find his info...it's def at the top of my budget but it looks fully done. My budget is in the neighborhood or $10-$13k max. I don't need a nut-and-bolt perfect truck...I just want solid, orig, complete and honest...no hack jobs. I plan to keep it forever so freshening it up over years is the plan. |

Yikes...$25k is out of this world...I've seen one K10 run through Barrett-Jackson that fetched $57,500 but it was 100% orig metal, low-mile, nut-and bolt resto trailer queen you'd never be able to drive...not my kind of truck...nor my kind of budget... :)

I didn't buy preformed lines, I bent my own. I rebuild my own engines (except machine work), press my own bushings, weld my own metal, sand & varnish my own wood, polish my own metal, and I could list everything else but its easier to say: "I have R&R'd every non-rivted fastener and replaced or refurbished every part of this truck, both external and internal. That includes the guts of the engine, trans, rear end, HVAC, and interior." And I still spent $25,000 on parts. I don't care what kind of sewing machine you have, you cannot heat-press the correct scroll work into the vinyl, can you? And I do have skills, thanks. I built a website for the carb shop instead of paying them. I wrote a database script for billing instead of paying to have my rad boiled out. You had it wrong on all counts, so I'm not sure why you decided to 'lol' at me. |

Then again it took me a couple of years to find a grandpa-driven uncut Sierra Grande bigblock/bucket truck and I had to 'settle' for a Longhorn, so finding the one that's right for you can be harder, I guess. And I had it my sig here for a year while learning about trucks and that yielded nothing. Good luck in the hunt, hopefully more leads will surface! |

The above ebay truck is/was a 2wd on a mid 80's frame. They even used the 198? Air cleaner brake booster and i would bet it's a 305 also. Anytime you see 10 bolts and a 208 case its pretty obvious IMO.
