‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

See post#11 for updated list of smaller parts, prices and availability. See post 20 for inside floor pictures, will trade doors straight across for good condition srw front Dana 60 hubs.
Chassis and drivetrain are not for sale. The cab is Bill of sale only, no title. The body on this truck is in very good condition, straight and rust free. The roof does have a small hole that’s been plugged likely for an old cb antenna or similar as seen in the pictures. I’d like to sell the cab and doors together and the front clip together for now. The TBI 454 is not complete and was told it’s no good. I will sell parts off of it.

For the bare cab/complete doors and complete front clip together-$3K delivered along the route mentioned below. In my opinion that’s a bargain vs. paying a body shop for rust repairs and straightening, or fitting aftermarket parts. If Im out of line on my prices let me know. I will be heading to northern Virginia in November for thanksgiving and am willing to haul the cab and clip out there. I could easily meet anywhere on I40 between Albuquerque and Knoxville, or between Knoxville and Winchester VA on I81.
Pictures to follow.

These are all GM body parts and no patches in any of the metal.
Cab,doors, clip: $3,000 (1k for the clip, 1k for the Cab, 500 ea, for the complete doors)
Clip alone complete with core support, grill and inner/outer fenders etc.$1,000
Cab/complete assembled doors: $2,000

I will certainly entertain offers/trades/partial trades. 69-‘72 tow hooks are a good place to start. If picking up here in New Mexico I will knock some money off of the above pricing.
More pictures and prices of individual cab/interior parts to come as I start tearing into it more.

Thank you I appreciate it. They're not too bad to get out once the steering columns out of the way

Not selling individual parts from the clip at this time. If it comes to that you can be first in line for those parts.

That sounds great to me. I will take it. How much for the shifter boot, maybe shifter if you will separate. and the resevoir with bracket for the clutch

I will also send you another PM. Do you have the other rod for the pedal assembly that mounts the clutch master cylinder?

Yes sir I do. I took it off the truck but hadn’t attached it back to the pedal assembly when I took the picture. The pedal assembly is complete with all hardware and braces etc.
I don’t want to separate the transmission and shifter at this time, maybe in the future. I’d go another 50 for the boot, ring, hardware, and clutch reservoir/bracket, combined with the shipping on the pedals.
The hose on the reservoir is rotted out FYI. The boot is in what I’d call driver shape the inner boot is torn and it has slight green overspray on it that I think will clean up with some elbow grease. It seemed to still seal the cab but it’s not perfect by any means.

Awesome! Do you know if you can get the return spring too? Where did you buy your rod from?

For the pedal or the fork? I probably have PNs for both, along with most of the parts for the hydraulic clutch system

For the pedal. I don't think I'll be able to find a spring anyway. But they do tend to break. I found the master cylinder braces so I appreciate the part number.

Are the motor mounts and the braces that go from the motor mounts to the torque converter dust cover available?

Re: ‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

The braces are long gone, I may sell the mounts though, I’m hoping to have the engine out of it this afternoon. If they are in good shape I’ll post them up here.

I really hope you have what I need. I need the connector that plugs into the clutch safety switch. I see you had the switch on the pedals you pulled in post #10 of this thread. I need the harness side that plugs into that switch. If so, can you snip the wires and leave me pigtail to graft into mine. I recently posted in the electrical section (FYI).

Thanks.

Yep let me dig into it tomorrow after work but I’m confident that plug is still there. Do you have a picture by chance so I’m sure I get the right one?

Clutch switch on hydro pedals I know uses the same plug as the older wiper motors under the hood on our trucks . I have used a few over the years . I forget the exact range tho of years .

It would be the plug that fits the switch. There may be two plugs, each being square and should have two wires each. I'll take them both. Each one is square with a matching Tang on one corner that corresponds with the cavity in the switch.

Any idea what the other plug in that switch is for?

I checked when I got home and I do believe I know which ones they are. I’m gonna do a little research tonight to make sure and then I’ll try and get pictures tomorrow. The harness from this truck is uncut so I know I’ve got them.

Is the boot/seal on the upper end of the lower steering intermediate shaft in good condition? No tears/rips, etc?

Here’s what I’ve got, the boot on the intermediate shaft unfortunately has a small tear in it. If your interested still I can come down on the price, how’s $30 plus shipping sound? It still has wet grease inside the boot.

I found the connectors but one of mine has a third wire. The wire colors in the white connector are red with a purple stripe, black with a white stripe and brown. These two connectors are right next to each other in the harness and are the only two really in the proximity of where the clutch switch was.

Ok cool. That black connector is the one I need. I can tell from the pic the white connector doesn't fit the socket in the switch. That's ok cuz I only need the black one. I discovered today from another site that the windshield wiper motor uses the same plug. I checked when I got home and indeed it does!

So....would you snip me a nice long pigtail for the black connector on the clutch switch AND the same connector on the wiper motor?

Let me know what you need for your time. You can probably drop them in an envelope and mail them. PayPal?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the boot is really the only part I need. Yours is better than any I have here, so I will keep it in mind as I keep searching. I appreciate you checking it out for me and the lower price offer.

I understand.

SunSoaked, I’ll see if I can get a look at the wiper motor connector this evening.
If it will work for you how does $25 shipped sound?
