Re: Restoring Rusty
With paint work coming what color are you thinking? Staying with lime green or another color.

Re: Restoring Rusty
What's going on with Rusty? I've been offline for a while and don't see any updates since late last year.

Re: Restoring Rusty
He has another thread somewhere on here. He is going electric.

Yeah I saw that but that’s for his 71. Dusty I think. Don’t tell me Rusty has been kicked to the curb! |

Hi everyone, it’s been a long year, sorry I haven’t updated y’all on Rusty. Rusty has not been kicked to the curb, I am in the process of getting body work and paint done. It has been at the shop for about 5 months now :( but I hope to have it finished within 2 months. Right now it’s almost prepped and ready for primer. I am going with the original Lime green by the way. I really do believe these old trucks have soul and character, Rusty turned right on after being parked for months. I can’t wait to show you all when it’s done with paint!

Wow, he naked!
you can use a free product called IrfanView to rotate and save your pics prior to posting to ensure they turn out up right, it sucks that we have to do that but that's the iPhone world these days |
Re: Restoring Rusty
They are finally starting to spray Rusty! I will upload some pics here in a minute, it keeps logging me out when I try to upload photos

Rusty is out of the body shop. I just need to adjust the Eddie Motorsport hood hinges I got and a new windshield. Pretty happy with how it turned out

New windshield in, I bought some wheels and tires they should come in this week. I’d like to put a QA1 coil over suspension but it is pretty expensive so I’m going to save up for that. Still haven’t adjusted the hinges but I’m happy with the paint job.

Re: Restoring Rusty
I checked out this thread because it was a 74 med olive truck. That has been my new favorite color for the past 10 years. I used to hate it lol. Your new paint doesn't look like the 74 color though. It looks more like the 76 Lime green color. It's still a sharp truck though.

Hi everyone hope everyone is well. I haven’t kept up with this thread because I’ve been busy with work, not much has been done to ol Rusty since paint and wheels back in January, and quite frankly I’m just not as cool and witty or knowledgeable as my pal Gregski. I will try to do my best and update you guys more often. I’ve been looking into buying an under the dash old time air ac system cause I wanna keep the dash trim so I will keep you guys posted. Here’s a pic I took last month
