1970 C10 - Power windows and power locks
Hello folks,
I am now looking to add power windows and locks to my C10. Does anyone have recommendations on what brand to purchase? I heard Nu Relic power windows are a good brand. Has anyone used them? Has anyone converted their vent window into a one piece glass? Like it? Hate it? Regrets, if any? Power locks with keyless entry? Name brands, tried and true? Thank you! |

I used the Nu Relic power windows in my 69. They weren't bad to install and works great. Follow the instructions and no problems.

I have A1 Electric windows. They have worked perfectly for the last 15 years.
Install wasn’t bad. What I liked was the motor is connected to regulator that looks factory |

A1 electric is a very clean setup. I got them as well.

Re: 1970 C10 - Power windows and power locks
Installed the NuRelics PW in my 72 along with the NuCrank switches that use original handles. No long term use, only tested and they seem to operate smoothly.
PDL are easy. Practically any universal actuator mounted inside door under the lock rod will work. Most include attachment hardware to door lock rod. On the old vehicles I never bother with door lock switches. Just actuate with an alarm or RDL module. Edit- Failed to address you wanted brand recommendations. For alarms I have used Viper many times (owned by DEI). Worked at a car stereo shop in my younger years. Installed one on my 94 at purchase. Glitches occurred after 20 years and replacement remotes not available. Replaced with another from Viper with remote start. Really happy with it. Have another of the same to install in my 72. Another without the remote start in my work truck. All doors on the utility bed have triggers. Note that I have seen most of the premium products are intended for professional install. Instructions will be sparse and manufacturer will not help. So if you do not have experience install can be challenging. Never installed a remote PDL. The cost is almost the same as an alarm, so why bother. |

Thank you all for the replies.
I will be going with Nu Relic. |

Following up on this - have you been able to install these? If so, how did it go?

I didn't go with power windows at this time. Too expensive and would rather spend the money elsewhere at this time. |

Thanks, Steve.
My wish list is about a mile long, and while I too would love to do power windows, it’s not at the top of my list either. One of these days perhaps… |
