The few but interesting trucks at Hotrod-A-Rama

I jumped in stealth car yesterday and made the 125 mile run to Pendleton for Hotrod-A-Rama Car show that was a traditional hot rod and custom car event with pretty strict guidelines as to no billet and no rat rods or rustmoibiles.

There was only a slim handful of AD and TF trucks but they were interesting ones.

The blue "patina" truck is Hellsgate Hotrods race truck that has a super trick chassis built in their shop that they have been running in Goodguys Autocross events.
They sell header flanges for most engines along with build your own header kits and sell the do it your sell bolt pattern drill guides that a gent in Walla Walla designed. Great bunch there.

I had to throw at least one OT one in and this 56 is one of the best. Built by Rockets Hot rods about 15 miles from me a shop that is owned by the son of a long time friend of mine.

56 Ford two door wagon turned into a car that never existed even on the drawing boards at Ford but sure should have. The list of changes and amount of work is extensive but it looks stone stock except for the chromed engine. A very sneaky car that caused a lot of discussion among the old timers.

They did an AD truck a few years ago that I posted on here in show coverage that is one nice truck.
I hope no one is offended but I thought folks would see a phantom that looked so right that you thought it came from the factory that way.

Way over on the other side this nice fleetside was hiding out and looking great. A very nicely done restomod truck.

It was a hundred degrees down there with smoke from several wild fires and I pretty well gave out real quick.

I'll put all of my photos on my Smug mug album for those who are interested as the build quality at the show was as high as any I have seen in a long time outside of Deuce Days in Victoria.
