I dont know about where you live, but in my area ones likes that go for mint. Typically $5000+ for failed projects with rust.

The only thing I know of Nova Scotia is pretty much the name, and prices can be very regional. Still I think you can easily double your money by getting it online.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

thinking of it as possible project once my 56 chev truck is done. 3hr drive one way to have a real look at it.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

If I wanted one I would get it. Since all the parts are available to fix it, and still be cheaper then a runner with issues. Based on my limited knowledge of those years.

If it were in my area I'd buy it.

Good luck, Rg

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

My opinion is that is dirt cheap. I've seen title & VIN/Frame go for $1500

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

thanks everyone for their input.body tub not the orginal 2wd body though. should make much difference ? like i mentioned i know the orgins of frame and its reallly good .minus 5 bolt spindles control arms and rear diff.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

Well, my blazer has a 4wd vin and sits on a 2wd original frame. It was converted back in the early '80's. So for me, it's a non issue... Other guys want an original 2wd vin number, then they slam them anyway!

If you like it buy it. It won't last long at that price.

Good luck, Rg

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

based on what i seen for prices even for some of the parts on some other sites this thing looks worth getting $700 for rear seats wow.

Yikes, rear seats are inching into bucket seat pricing.

Hey CG I joined this face book group.https://www.facebook.com/groups/1330738180353910 man had i known this blazer stuff was gonna go crazy i was in posession of a gema 15 years ago i had a true 2wd cst in decent restorable conditon. front seat frames are up there too is correct. the blazer basket case in pics here looks like it has 2 sets of front seats and possibly a back seat could sell off the extras and bring cost down.. guy wants $2500 for everything.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

I absolutely do not have the skill set, or wallet for that matter to take on a project like this. And I have sworn off getting anymore (trying to at least) projects, but if it was close to me I would snap it up ... just because haha!

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

Damn, that thing is rough ! If it was me, I would spend more money on something better.
Rust is OK, but when the firewall and windshield header are shot, I would walk away from it and keep looking. The only way to repair that Blazer would be to buy a complete new body, but not sure how much $ you want to sink into it?
Even after dumping thousands to try and repair what's there, you will just end up with a patched up truck.
My 2 cents.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

Along those lines, I’m told Motor City K5 will be rolling out K5 bodies once the supply of available steel improves.

CG i am retired so have lots of time.hemi43 not much of this stuff in nova scotia especially blazer stuff. i might take a trip once covid restrictions ease up.hard to tell how bad it is without being in person looking at it. yes around top of windsheild questionable etc... if motor city K5 came out with body tub i wonder how much they would be.? i know the 2wd frame with this is solid part of the battle. lol

Same here in Ontario. I lucked out finding mine, and to be honest, I had no idea how rare these trucks really were, especially restorable ones.
I'm sure a tub won't be cheap, especially trying to get one to NS. I bet it would cost close to 20K CND for one.
Even if you don't find one, look on the bright side, you're in NS, not ONT !! :-)

Definitely! I see bucket seats in there, so they are probably worth almost half the asking price.

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

i see 2 sets of buckets and looks like a back.sellings off seats would pay for most of it based on prices of these parts lol.. i seen a 70-72 blazer on one of the sites with 3 row tahoe seat in back like this:
https://i.ibb.co/PNpg0KX/s-l1600-1.jpg
and it looked pretty good fit mind you there is fab work for mounts. but these seats are cheap here. i got these 3rd row seats for my 56 chev 3100 for $100:

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

I like the black seats a lot. Not a fan of the weird extra arm sticking up there on the white seats.

56 3100 05-16-2021 09:47 PM

Re: 2wd blazer worth?

he CG I agree arms are ugly i seen a pic of one in a 69-72 blazer . i am seriously gonna have to take a road trip to look at this onece our covid restrictions let up.some of the one i seee together on line that are rough people are still wanting a lot for them . so maybe all this basket case is worth $2000-2500?
