Electric fan/ A/C question

I swapped my 02 1500 5.3 over to electric fans using the BP Automotive wiring harness. I also replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator and hoses. I can't get the temp over 210. My buddy programmed the fans to operate at what an 06 would and that is 215. Will this be ok? I mean if it doesn't need it that's fine. Right?
Also, i bought the harness(BP as well)to make the fans come on when the A/C comes on. BP says it has to be programmed in as well, but my buddy says there's not a way he is aware of to do it without doing a segment swap from an Fbody because my truck doesn't have any way to operate the fans with the A/C. I don't really know either. Anyone give me some guidance? Thanks!

Re: Electric fan/ A/C question

If the BCM doesn't have a current limiter on the AC clutch circuit you may be able to use a relay teed into the compressor wiring to drive the radiator fan.
