I hope that it goes well. I had foot surgery that wasn't as extensive as yours and I still couldn't hold the gas pedal and go 5 miles without it hurting like crazy, 3 months later.

Congrats. When I had shoulder surgery the doc said no hand shakers. That lasted maybe 3 weeks before I said I was driving myself. All my rides are manuals other than the wife's and you have to take the jeep to get to its parking spot. Jetta wasn't bad but I did stay out of the trucks for a bit longer.

That's great news. And good on you for following your doctor's orders.

When I was in HS I broke my left foot. Hurt it Friday, hobbled all weekend, by Monday figured maybe a doctor should have a look. After the x-ray he started rolling up my pants leg and I knew I was getting a cast. My mom, who never had a drivers license, came with me. The doctor asked if she drove and of course she told him she didn't drive. Then he said, well I hope the car has an automatic. "Yep". I lied in front of my mom. We came in my dad's '62 Land Rover. I drove us home .

Good to hear. Its hard to be still and listen to the doctors, but it normally works out when we do,
