I don't have a real plan but I have a vision. Not slammed but lower for sure. Not some dumb oversized pickup. But a functional hauler with Cummins power. And some good looking wheels for sure.

Well it's race week again. I'll be at the Texas Motorplex Wednesday through Sunday. Test and Tune Wednesday. Two hits and first round of the first race Thursday. It's a Double Divisional. If anybody comes out I hope to be close to the fuel station.

Well the Double Divisional went pretty good. I was hitting the tree pretty good. My last three runs were .007 .010 and .008. I went out third round of the first race. I was .007 on the tree and screwed it up by giving up the stripe by .007. I had to run my pit mate second round and I was .008 on the tree but spun after the hit and couldn't catch him. When I ran first round of the first race the truck fell off before the 1000ft. It was making a weird sound so I killed it return road. We towed it back and I checked the valves and springs and nothing was wrong. I fired it back up and Ken motioned for me to kill it. I couldn't see this mess because it was covered up by another tube.

We had plenty of time and somebody patched it up for me. I'm not putting any names out there. But a trash can was involved. It got me through the weekend.

I took the header off yesterday. All it's going to take is replacing half of the tubes on 1,3,5 and 2,4,and 6. We'll do 2,4 and 6 before my race in Tulsa. Then do 1,3 and 5 when I get back. Hopefully I have time to get the passenger side to the coater and back so I don't have to pull it again. The pic I posted was before I beat the hell out of it so it would fit. It looks pretty rough now.

Well Tony got the three tubes on my header fixed up. I also found a local guy to coat them and got it back in a week. The company is 903 Coatings. They do dustless paint removal and all kinds of things. The headers turned out good. I need to get them on this afternoon and get everything loaded this weekend. Then it's Tulsa Time again next week. Maybe I can break my string of bad luck at that track.

After I get back from Tulsa I will pull the drivers side header. We will replace three half tubes and I'll get Chad at 903 Coatings to recoat that one.

It's Ceracoat. They don't bake it. Instead it has a five day cure time. I was able to use a tubing expander without hurting it. That was three days after they were sprayed. The other place I used last time had to change coatings because of EPA regs. I didn't notice till now that there was already surface rust on them in only three years. I'll see how this stuff works.
