K5 crossmembers?

Seen this pic on another thread, so hope nobody gets offended. There are 2 crossmembers in the transfer case area.....wasn't sure what they are there for, thought there was only one, but in the pic there are 2.

I am thinking the one in the rear is just for the skid plate???

Had a stock t-case skidplate and the extra crossmember here, but went with this setup. Way cleaner look, I think.Attachment 1586073

Is your photo of a stock skid plate? I am trying to figure out a way to replicate what you are showing in the photo.

This is a long shot but hoping you can share make of skid plate. I have same on my 72 I believe and trying to figure it out. Thanks much

I never even thought of that. I like it. I think it would make exhaust a little simpler too.

Just saw it sir, yea mine does not have any cuts a an angle like the one listed on eBay. Thanks much I didn’t catch that on this one on this thread good eye
