Wow, sorry to hear about the cab corner, but like you said, that's one of the least seen parts of the truck with the bed installed so a quick patch job should hide it.

Great score on those parts!!!

It's painful after all that work to see a huge chip in the paint, but can't let it stop progress! Here is some pics of the c-notch install, didn't get a pic of them powdercoated and installed with bags, but I will tomorrow. It was a PITA getting everything to align....especially the bags. The frame is in need of cleaning....again.

Cool...looking forward to more pictures. Did you do any mods to the trailing arm? Have you put the bed on since the bags to compare the rims to the wheel wells or did you just center the notch where the rear hit the frame?

No mods to the trailing arms, and I have had the bags on for at least 8 months so all of the pics with the bed on, the bags were already installed. The back rims seem to line up great with the wheel well center (see the pics on page 10). After everything was installed (the c's and the bags) nothing changed....only the ride height by about 2 inches. I am really hoping that the weight of the front clip and motor and all the other stuff that goes with that will pancake the bags and the front will be about 1 1/2 to 2 inches lower also. If this is the case the truck will sit with the same stance as previous pics, just 2 inches lower.

Do doubt! My date for first crank was August! After all is said and done I will be happier with the final product since I did take my time. Plus the carshow season is over for this year. So next year will be a blast.

Here are the pics of the powdercoated c's bolted in. I got all of the air lines ran to the front and back and the air tank hung in the rear. Pics of that will have to be a little later. Also got the bottom of the cab undercoated, it looks clean now! I did have a little help too.

Yeah...we know what you mean. She spent four hours at the shop, new record! My girl has been cool about all the time I spend at the shop for about 4 months, before that it was a battle.

She's hot! She came to bring lunch and I put a 1/2 drill in her hand.....no pun intended.....and she started drilling the holes in the frame for the air hose hangers and installed them! She did a great job, also helped put the cab and bed back on the frame. The dull undercoating is a nice contrast with the shiney frame and small silver and chrome parts on the underside.

I think the side moulding trim will break up the orange just enough......I hope! Not a whole lotta progress over the past couple of weeks.....other than what she did! I do have a little idea, it involves a Corvette L88 hood scoop and some 327 emblems........and no, it's not going on the hood!

hahhaaha. Yep. She is outta town this weekend so maybe I won't be such a slacker. Spoke with the engine shop and picked my cam yesterday, it should sound mean. It is the largest cam I can run with a stock torque converter and still have good driveability with a/c. :sexy:

Little hotter than an RV cam, it's a 470 lift with a little longer duration than stock.
