Wished I would have bought it from you. It wouldn't be on BAT for sure.

I wish you had too. I would be very happy in general if she wound up with a board member.

Re: 1969 K10 CST Full Restoration

Now that the truck has sold...and I wish the seller and buyer all the best...there are just a couple of things I wanted to briefly say in this build thread. There was a little too much hype in the run down and comments section(in the BAT ad) about the truck for my taste. For example, there aren't a "ton" of NOS parts in this build...just look at this thread. If there was one, I pointed it out. Plenty of builds on here with more. And I didn't represent it otherwise when I sold it. More importantly, Eric (OldYellow) deserves a lion share of the credit for the K10 and the Blazer build.

The pics were awesome and it is what you see...but no more. I was glad when the build link was posted in the comments, I always try to post the truth about the build...even when it hurts. That's all.

Another chapter closed. Now on to the next!

I guess the BAT deal didn't go through.

I bid on it just now for giggles. I was out bid immediately, as expected.

I think it is a fraudulent EBAY listing.

That makes sense...gosh, whole thing is crazy.

The EBAY seller told me wire transfer only for payment and he would ship the truck to me.

Ruh roh! Only transactions as a buyer. Sounds legitimately illegitimate to me!

No worries on your end either way, unfortunately (for both sides, occasionally) vehicle and land bids are not legally binding for either party.

I lost a deal on a motorcycle after I went through the "buy-it-now" process only for the dealership to call me the next day and say (very poorly paraphrased) "too bad, we're selling it to someone who's in the dealership right now."

Looked into it and sure enough, in ebay's terms (and apparently due to varying laws state-to-state) they can't (or won't) make vehicle or land auctions legally binding the way all other auctions are.

This. The rally's look great, can't go wrong with that ride, it's black for starts. To me the original wheels & caps on that truck makes a BIG difference.

It's blue....super dark though it may be.

I know that this truck did not have this wheel/cap option available from the factory, but it is my favorite of the era. And yep, I got a set of 8 lug skinnies sitting in the basement just itching to cut some grooves under the K20.

Think I mentioned I was color/shade blind. Nothing remarkable, some guys are off the charts;)

That's a beautiful blue. Those are 71-72 caps if I remember right. Seems I threw my old caps away:waah: but they weren't usable. I have an NOS set of stainless & the old wheels. Maybe someday, but running with rallys first. I think those old caps look best with the darker colors.

That truck is so nice. I would have such a hard time selling that truck. I know it's more fun building it than driving it but that final result is stunning.

The next owner will be the 6th (that I know of) since the restoration. Logged a little over 130 miles in that time.

It would be harder to buy that truck and not use it, than it would be to sell, in my opinion.
Great work and a very nice testament to you and your brother. I will be like others, waiting on yournext project.

Love how it says custom build by hall brothers. There isn’t a single part of that truck that you could consider “custom”

Has it sold for steadily increasing dollars for all the new owners (flippers?).

I think so. Two of the sales are private, but I have inferred that to be the case. The last sale was to a dealer who bought it as a package from an individual who sold his entire collection.

That YouTube account did the same treatment to my Blazer thread. It seems crazy that they can build and monetize a channel to the tune of 500k subscribers out of cutting and pasting other folks' work.

They just got a dislike for that.
