Help Identify a Part, Please

I started putting my steering column back into the Blazer yesterday. It's been a few years since I tore it apart, and I sometimes have trouble identifying parts I bought way back when. I bought a new firewall seal, but it's different from the original; it's about 1/2" thick foam. And then there's this part - I'm not even sure it goes on the steering column, but its inside diameter fits the column snugly. If it does go on the column, where does it go? Pics I've found on the board and exploded diagrams from LMC don't seem to have it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. That's one of the parts I bought recently from Wes. Now I feel really stupid...

That obviously holds the flux capacitor... don’t feel stupid, it’s easy to do sometimes with all the parts it takes to build one of these trucks.

You did a smart thing if that one you already had is any other reproduction. He came up with ones that do what they are meant to do. The other repro offerings don't seal well

Question - how do you go about replacing the column firewall seal. Mine has a tear in it. Do you need to remove the column?
