Photos of our trucks being built? Assembly plant photos?
 
I've looked around but can't seem to find any photos of our trucks being built. It would be cool to get a look at the people who built them and what the assembly line was like. Anyone have any pics or video?

This is the closest Ive seen to an assembly line pic...it was posted in the "vintage picture thread" it's from 1967, you can see a couple of GMC's in the background.

interesting to see them lifting the bed by the bolt holes instead of under the rails . and looks like only 1/2 inch maybe 5/8 max , bar . the overhead conveyor is very similar to a beef slaughter house

I wonder if that is coming out of a paint shop/primer dip?.

That's where the idea came from.

Henry Ford visited a slaughterhouse in Chicago, which inspired his idea for using a moving assembly line to build automobiles.

That's not how we did the squarebodies. They sat on a wheeled carrier and were supported from underneath.
