71 C10 project "Double Tap"
5 Attachment(s)
This is my latest project I named Double Tap. The name will make more since as the project progresses. Im about 3 months into this build in my spare time. Main goal is a super clean chasis with a ground scraping stance and all business on the exterior. I have tons of pictures but Im only going to upload a few a day to keep the suspense up

Re: 71 C10 project "Double Tap"
First on the list was making it a short bed. Next is the haggered house roll on paint job removal. The short bed process took a total of 18 hours start to finish in my driveway. I actually had a swb gmc first but traded for this truck and cash because I couldn't bring myself to cut up Sierra grande edition. I just knew someone out there would enjoy it just the way it was. Since I ended up with this 71 c10 that had no real value to it other then it being a solid running truck I decided it was the perfect candidate for my project. Funds are strapped on this build so all the suspension and metal work is built by me. I did manage to scrounge up the change for a few key goodies such as boss wheels and some accuair. Stay tuned and hope you enjoy. Pics soon to follow.

I ended up stripping the truck down to bare metal even dug out some nice little dents for accent and sprayed it black epoxy then I shot the roof the color of the wheels and the body just a semi gloss machine color. Shot the paint out in the yard at 10 at night with spot lights mounted to ladders and trash cans, but it was a lot of fun. So this is how the truck looked before the destruction.

You planning to lay it out ? Nice work by the way! I have been contemplating buying a LWB to try my hand at the conversion.
