bucket don't line up in cradle

Bucket on drivers side sits to the outside of middle about 1/2 in. It appears that the adjusters holes are off to the right. Do I extend these slots, or what are my options? '68 stepside

If you are saying you have original c10 bucket seats ,this would be correct the c 10 bucket seats have a different hole pattern then a c10 bech seat. If you look close enough there might be indentions for the bucket seat bracket location, I have seen this on one cab that I aquired for parts. there is also the underside brace , but i dont remember if they have one specific for buckets , maybe someone else might chime in on that I am not that familar on the subject about the bracing.

No, actually I'm talking about the headlight bucket. The bucket doesn't sit in the radiator cradle right. This causes the light to sit too far to the right

Don't feel bad, I think most of us found out shortly after we got married that we flunked mind reading, I know I did big time as I thought he was talking about seats also. This is where pictures come in handy....

I too jumped on the seat bandwagon.
Definitely need some pictures on this one.
And is there any aftermarket sheet metal involved?

I am an advocate of bringing up older threads but I am betting the OP has this problem solved by now.....:)

I'm not sure what even made me look at the date. I usually just jump on the band wagon too. :)

Re: bucket don't line up in cradle

Well, since we are talking headlight buckets, I don't think the bucket alignment is affected if you swap sides or try to use a left on the right or vise versa. The only issue that causes is the headlight won't be rotated correctly in the bucket. My truck somehow had two RH buckets. I simply make new headlight notices in on of the buckets to make it a LH bucket.

But, the bucket alignment left to right within the grille was never a problem. The PO simply retained the headlight in place with the alignment tabs outside the slots in the bucket.
