71 c20 in Alaska
Howdy, just started tinkering with my Dads '71 c20.
He bought it sometime in the early nineties for a project for him and I. We never got around do doing anything with it, so it's not been ran for twenty years. He has recently passed, and I'm going to try and get it running again. Currently have no spark, going out today to change out some distributer parts. Short terms goals for the truck: Replace fuels lines Replace brake lines Rebuild brakes New rims/tires(still has the 16.5 split rims) Fix doors- Windows stuck up, ps door won't latch, etc I'm a total greenhorn when it comes to working on vehicles, so I have been learning a ton already. This forum has already been valuable for me. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions for y'all in the future! |

Hey!
It will feel good to get her down the road again. Dad would have approved. Split rims came in 16" diameter, so you may have that size. If you could have 16.5" one piece rims too. Welcome. I've got a 71 also. |

Here it is before I hosed off all the moss. And it does have the 16" split rims as the first poster said. |

Welcome to the truck board! I'm sorry to hear of your father's passing. It'll be nice for you to get it running and drive it now.
