Hello all, im looking for some answers. i have a 198x gmc 4x4 squarebody with a 6.2 diesel in it. I also have a 198x 2x4 squarebody with a nice cab that has virtually norust. Can i swap the cab off of the 2x4 truck and put it on the 4x4 truck with the 6.2 in it? thanks in advance for the help.

The short answer is yes you can But....

2wd cabs have low hump center floor sections and 4x4 have high hump center floor sections to clear the transfer case. There are various ways to work with this but do some searching on here. Body swaps have been happening long before the internet.

You obviously will need to move over your fuel filter assembly and you will need to transfer your hydro boost brake pedal and mount. I would also keep the diesel in cab wiring harness. It's pretty straight forward swap just do your research on the floor hump so you can address that. I would do a boly in floor hump conversion but having an np208 this may not be what you want.

Hahaha, wow, are you intending to encourage people to respond with this? "Calls are not answered in the order they are received", haha. People read and respond to what interests them. I haven't searched it, but cab swap in the search box would probably provide you a ton of information.
