69 C10 Window Track Issues

Ive got a 69 c10...i am replacing all the window tracks in both doors, but i am having trouble finding the correct track strips and weather stripping that slides into the inner door division bar and side track. i can find all other weather stripping but those. if anyone can give me some help it would be greatly appreciated. i need to get my windows back in and i dont want them slamming around internally not being in the track slot rubber/felt strips

Re: 69 C10 Window Track Issues

are you talking about the felt strip that goes on the vent window side

http://www.classicparts.com/Door/products/252/3/0

classic parts has all the door weather strip peices

Re: 69 C10 Window Track Issues

yes the lower part of division bar and the other side window channel. the one that are inside the door themselves. all my tracks were rusted out so i had to get all new ones. but now there is no rubber/felt insert in the lower halves when the windows gets rolled down. its just bare metal. my old tracks had the rubber/felt in them but are to badly damaged to be used again

Reno,

which weatherstripping goes into number 12. that is the piece im trying to find but havnt with any luck. #12 is the window track on the latch side of door. my stripping is so brittle and destroyed my windows rattle around. if you have any other info it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 69 C10 Window Track Issues

the peice that goes on the latch side is the same piece that runs from the vent window back and down its number 13

Re: 69 C10 Window Track Issues

Very good looking truck!
Sorry I missed your other posts but looks like 454 has you covered.
Glad to have you as a friend also.

Get a gasket for your rearend, some gear oil and pull the cover. Check for chipped teeth etc., also write down the stamped numbers on the gears (you might need that later...tells you what the ratio is).

Let us know what you find.

Re: 69 C10 Window Track Issues

When you go to install the new window channel start up at the wing window and work your way down, you can roll the window up out of the way when you get down into the door, I take the glass and regulator out when I do mine, it's easier that way. Wear long sleaves to work in the door, the lip on the opening is sharp. I use white grease on the channel after I put it in so the window rail slides up and down better.
