'67 Freshen-up

I have owned my '67 since I was fourteen.(1992) A friend of my Dad's gave it to me because the brakes were shot. It was fairly rough even back then and I have always just drove it as a cool beater with various rattle-can primer paintjobs. I have had a few projects over the years but not had one recently. I decided to tear the old Chevy apart for some rust/dent repair and give it a real paint job.https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...unds&crop=fill

...Here are some of the "looks" the truck has sported in recent years.

Here is the tear-down so far. I'll post more pics as I go.

Good work on the "Old Rebuilt Dodge" ...LOL I have a similar story on owning a 85 F150. It's my trash truck, it looks the part...

Looking forward to seeing what you do to the 67!!!

Okay, I'm back. Sorry all the project is moving pretty slow. The truck is at my barn on my property 11 miles from my current house. Hard to get out there and get any real time in on it with job and family stuff happening. I welded in New lower door skins, rocker panels, cab corners, and rear floor sections. I decided to use panel bond for the rear wheel arch panels. I welded similar pieces into another project and had trouble with shrinking metal and burning holes through thin spots. I used sheet metal screws to hold the panels in place then just ground the heads off the screws and blended the overlap shoulder down with a flap wheel sanding disc

Attachment 2130688 Sorry I didn't document more but I carry an old flip phone that doesn't take great pics and cannot upload them to the internet very easily. These are the wheels I'll be using. 6 lug chrome rallies with mastercraft thin whites.

Re: '67 Freshen-up

It is the original seat frame repadded and upholstered by Payton's Upholstery in Clinton, Indiana. I told him I wanted a pleated turquoise and white zooty look. They do good work for very reasonable money.

These are the same wheels I bought for my truck. The wheels have such a classic look about them but also give that sporty look. Great choice!
