One piece at a time. -funny-

I have been working on restoring my 67. Once i started looking up part numbers I found parts from 67 to 91 LOL. I know how Johnny Cash felt now.
I am wondering if this is the case with everyone else? How did you address the issue? Did you go back stock or replace parts with newest model that will fit?

Never had one like that, but tell your wife she makes great pies

I am building one from parts, but they are all 67-72 GM Truck...mostly. Mine's more worldly than parts from various vehicles

'71 frame from FL, '72 cab (CA), '67 GMC core support (NE), doors (CA), and fenders (KS), '68 327 and buddy buckets (NJ), 67-72 wood bed floor supports (AZ), 67/68 GMC tailgate (OR), and bedsides from TX. Oh yeah, the hood is from NH, but the hinges are from VA. It has parts from N/E, S/E, S/W, N/W, and Central... all USA!!

Non 67-72 parts I can think of are M22 from a '65 Pontiac and steering wheel from mid-60s GM car (have a few to decide from)

Definitely one piece at a time. All other small parts are from all over, too

This is funny. My wife has been reminding me of that song ever since I brought the truck home in June....and she thinks I should name it based on that. She pays attention to the work I do on the truck, and she picked up on the fact that I have a 70 frame, 66 engine, and a 67 cab, 80's vintage rally wheels from several years, and spend time sorting through all that when I am ordering parts.

I can relate, my '71 is a combo of a '67 chassis, '72 cab, '71 bed, 1964 12 bolt posi rear end, 700R4 transmission('92 I think) 2007 Chevy Silverado bucket seats. Been there,done that....
