Fuse Block RUN and Crank Source?

I have my LS PCM and wiring harness mounted inside the cab of my truck. I see many videos showing the distributor wire is hooked up to the pink switched ignition of the LS harness. I get that

However being located inside of the cab can I tie the switch 12V+ pink wire from my Ls harness into one of the unused IGN ports on the stock truck fuse block?

Basically what I'm asking is does that pink distributor wire from the engine bay branch off to the IGN terminals on the inside (cab side) of the fuse block instead of connecting it to the wire located in the engine bay.

brian,
not sure if you know about brandons' web page so I will post a link. it is a wealth of info for swaps. for your question though, I am not sure about the pink wire to fuse box? (i don't think so). I do know that the "open slots" on the fuse box are open for the factory options ordered above the "basic" truck functions. IE: custom deluxe compared to silverado.... not 100% on that though.

I went on PSI's sit and located under the FAQ it says to hook up the keyed hot to any open fuse block location marked "IGN" so that is what I did.

That is only if you are mounting inside the cab. Should work fine, I will know when I fire it up.

It would probably work, but I instead added a small fuse block just for constant 12v+ needs when I swapped.

Yes I also made a fuse block panel for dedicated keyed hot for accessories I'm adding to the truck
