RustyBucket,

Very cool
Memory of your parents and the lil lifer! Lol

I sent my camper to a company to redo some shoddy work from the first jerks that worked on( screwed up) my trailer.

I’ll update when I get more pix

My folks bought a used Lo Liner around '73 or so & camped in it a LOT. My Dad & I also used it for a hunt camp some. When my Wife & I got married in '76 we took the lil' trailer on our honeymoon. Someplace we have a picture of our year old '75 dark green short Chevy van w/a bright yellow canoe on the roof of the van pulling the Lo Liner. When our daughter was about 2yrs she bonked her forehead on the trim piece across the back bunk... still has a little scar at 43. My Dad always teasingly called it the Lo Lifer. When he retired in '77 he & my Mom took off camping in it & went out west.. Texas, Arizona, Mexico, gone for 2 mos.. I think he finally had to do some frame repair from rust damage. We got a lot of use and had a lot of fun with it. My Dad bought & restored a '64 Airstream and gave the ol' Lo Liner to one of my cousins. It was destroyed on I-95 in a rainy day accident... no injuries.

My folks are gone, the kids are grown & we've got a 18' converted cargo trailer we use for camping mainly in the infield at the races, Daytona/Atlanta/Sebring.

I miss camping. Hoping to buy a truck camper within the year.

Few small details.
Found new sconces for the lights, removed them and cleaned things up some, painted the bases

Always good to see your updates.....
Glad your health has improved and you're making PROGRESS. I'm hitting a few old age health bumps.. AFIB and a gimpy hip.
I'm anxious to see pictures of your C10/Lo Liner combo hooked up and goin' down the road.

Looking at the side picture of your trailer I wonder if you're going to need some skids under the rear. My 24' car trailer has steel castor wheels near the back... and it rolls on them pretty often going in and out of driveways. I'd at least make sure nothing under the rear of your trailer would snag a curb or man hole cover.

What are your plans for the outside finish? The DJ for our club's monthly car show uses a small vintage travel trailer. It was dingy/chalky white when he got it. I'm not sure what the process was to strip it or scrub it up .. it's not polished or REALLY shiny, but I think it looks good. This picture doesn't show the finish very well.

Re: 1969 Aristocrat Lo Liner

Rusty,

I am glad you have enjoyed my updates. Health wise, I am improving but still gotta be careful. I also had a detached retina and now have another issue with same eye! I can’t win!

I’m going to leave the exterior alone, it has a bunch of pock marks from hail damage, but nothin major. If I painted, the hail pocks would be very noticeable. The Aristocrat pattern is not duplicated and nothing is even close so no new skin available.

My camper rarely scrapes but my driveway is flat too, if I had a normal driveway like most do, it would be very close, the casters are a great idea. This camper (Lo liner) was made so you can stick it in a regular garage door, optional steel wheels drop it down a foot.

I can’t wait to get Clyde in front of Bonnie, the camper. I’m hoping early spring.
