Dipstick on TH350

Has anyone had any trouble with installing a dipstick in the oil pan of a TH350. The dipstick hole seems to have a little bit of a taper to it and the dipstick tube doesnt. The only reason I ask is because I dont really want to damage my new dipstick.

dipstick goes in the case there should be an o ring.
