Seat Choices 67-69 GMC

i saw some pick ups with tahoe seats that had seatbelts made into the backrest. do they require alot of customizing?

Not much to make them fit but the floor is completely inadequate to support the kinds of loads the integrated belts put into the floor. These trucks require floor bracing just for simple bucket seats. 69-72 trucks that had individual buckets had additional bracing from the factory. I design seat and seat belt installations for RV's. I'd never install that kind of seat without significant structural floor bracing. Particularity at the front of the seat. Without it in a collision the seat could simply puncture through the floor. Stick with independent belts and use the stock mounting locations. They are there and they work.

I'm also saving the link. Discovered they are local to me in La Habra CA. Going to stop by when I'm in the area and take a look. Need to start saving as I have wife acceptance after showing her pictures. :four:
