Building The Grip Monster
2 Attachment(s)
I've had my truck for 8 years now and I drove it hard for 6 of them and more miles than the odometer could count and being that I'm a fabricator by trade i figure I'm going to go all out and build a road racing grip monster on a tight budget

Ok it’s been a long time since I’ve posted I’m still building the truck things have shifter a little bit from race truck to more daily driver it’s still getting a big block 489ci but efi not Weber’s. It’s getting a auto gear m22w still going to run the v gate shifter and I’m going to keep the 12 bolt rearend just upgrade it. it is on bags and it going to get a short bed conversion. I am currently running 335/30zr18 all the way around. It’s going to get a step side bed with the rear fenders widen about 5” on each side and I’m going to go steel fenders up front I wanted to do fiberglass but steel will last much longer

Ok it’s been a long time since I’ve done a update mainly because not much has happened but I’ve got a 489 stroker kit for it and decided to go twin 72mm turbos and I did the short bed conversion on it as well and again the iPhone doesn’t like to upload pictures right
|
Re: Building The Grip Monster
I’ll be following I’m wanting to fabricate a twin turbo kit for my 350 using a Fitech or equivalent fuel injection

Did a little work to the truck got the cab back on the truck and skinned fenders for the wide body and played with grill ideas and where and how I’m going to mount the turbos

Ok update time. I’ve got some parts that should make the truck a better driver but also handle better. I’ve decided to keep the truck carbureted and Naturally aspirated just to keep it simple. Also got rid of the m22 rock crusher and I’m now running a tko600. Also I’m going to be putting in a rear suspension out of a 2010 camaro ss using a kit from animals speed shop.

Ok I got a chance to do some work on the truck and get some parts installed and almost installed still a long way to go
|
Re: Building The Grip Monster
That 'new rear set-up' seems to have influenced things toward the opposite end of the truck.

So I’ve got the rearend all tack welded in and the rear wheels just barely fit over the calipers. The front not so much. So out with the 18s and in with 20s
