Cab Leaking
 

Hello everybody! I have a 69 c20 and it has always leaked water on the passenger and driver side floor. I poked around last night and found 2 holes that look factory under the dash on either side. One is right above the glove box and the other is to the top left of the gauge cluster. My dad said they should be factory drain holes and should have tubes that allow them to drain outside and not on my floor. Anyone else dealt with these??

Mine does it too however mine is leaking at the windshield. I bought some butyl gasket sealants and planning to seal up the window one day. This is with a brand new windshield gasket that I recent bought because the old one was leaking. %}%^^

Best bet is to put a garden hose over the cab too see where the water is coming from. I am pretty sure your is leaking at the windshield too.

My Suburban was leaking at both top corners of the new windshield gasket. I just put sealer from the corner over about 3" and it solved my problem. The drain holes you are talking about never had hoses on them and there is no provision for installing them.

Be sure and check the body seams on both sides above & below the windshield gasket. Sometimes the sealer dries up and falls out of them....

Ya may want to pull the cowl off and have a good look at both sides of the cab just below the windshield where the cab sections are joined together with spot welds, mine had a real large gap where the pieces were not fitted tightly before spot welding and they missed it with seam sealer too.
