Anyone have their windshield out? Need to verify a dimension

1 Attachment(s)
Getting ready to weld in the windshield area.
I need to verify the width of the opening all the way across the very top of the WS frame at the corners.
I want to make sure it matches the jig that I made for the spacing
I had to remove it to put in the inner A pillars

Sounds like Grumpy has you covered. I'm having the windshield on my Burban pulled and resealed here in another 30 minutes. Would have been perfect timing.

I'm going to confirm Grumpy's 56 1/2 measurement. That is what mine is.

Just to check with you guys but is that the straight line dimension or is that following the windshield curve?

I’m certain it’s straight line….that’s close to my existing measurement with everything just vise gripped in place ….when I pulled my bracing the jig I had moved about 1/8”
I’ll make a new gauge to go across and clamp everything in place
I don’t want any surprises when I go to install the windshield

Just to be Crystal clear, I assume you are measuring from the end of the black arrow and not the end of the red arrow?

One last question. What is the distance between the drivers and passengers sides where the red arrow is?

Re: Anyone have their windshield out? Need to verify a dimension

I get 57 1/4

Kind of hard to measure with one person. Tape measure basically rests on the top of the dash to measure.
