Trucks at the Concours De Maryhill car show today

I made my yearly trek down to the Land of Hogfarm to the Marryhill Museum for the Concours de Maryhill that is in essence a pretty laid back open car show. One you can show your new off the lot car with the just bought it sticker in the window if you have the entry fee.

Anyhoo AD and TF pickups were in short supply with TF being non existent.

Here are what I saw plus maybe a couple of interesting OT rigs as filler material

Both AD trucks are new to me. This 54 had some changes that rather sneaked up on you.

This time the filler truck is a 56 Effie and you have to be pretty mean to not like an Effie or two.

Then we have this nifty AD that is chopped nicely and currently is based in the Dalles Oregon. The owner said that the truck has been in the Dalles for about six years and was originally built in BC.

V8, V butted windshield that was very nicely done and some other tricks.

More of the details on the yellow AD including the louvered panel in front of the bumper.

One last shot of the yellow AD and a tail light shot at that. They look nice tucked in close.
I think the gal who was along with the red later model started wondering what was up when I only took one shot of her truck and basically ignored it while going all around the yellow one and asking several questions. This is a sweet little truck with no extra nonsense.

Had to share this 53 Studebaker with the fast back (think it is 68/69 Barracuda) roof and a wild engine. This car was trick.

Nice little Red square body sitting over with the group from Yakima. I think I have taken and shared photos of it before.

A really nice 71/72 that I wish I had paid a lot more attention to after looking at the photos. Some nice work in that truck.

last but not least Mt Adams from the viewpoint a couple miles south of Goldendale and about 52 miles south of my driveway. The mountain is probably my favorite subject and I have taken several thousand photos of it.

Here is my album with more of the cars and trucks in the show. I didn't take photos of everything because there were just too many late models that were the same as a lot of cars in the parking lot, in fact some of the cars in the parking lot were more interesting as there were some nifty sports cars out there.

Outside of their feeling the need to blast oldie rock and roll over loud speakers it is always a great laid back event that you see some real interesting rigs at and one a lot of guys wives and girl friends who don't much care to go to shows like to go to.

I looked for you. I didn't stay very long this year.

There were three events in Central and north central Washington Saturday that I know of.

The Vintiques Unrun in Yakima at Fullbright park. The East-West Flathead run at The Hot Rod Cafe at Monitor Wa that they turned into an open run this year. Real laid back with no entry fee and no awards or door prizes unless things changed. Just park out on the lawn at the show and grab and the hot rod Cafe hopes you buy lunch there. Probably one of the most laid back events anyone can go to outside of a cars and coffee Saturday morning thing.

Thats a sweet ride! Needs a different wheel choice for me, but very cool.

I'm thinking that the real Moon disks added to the Bonneville vibe.
Late model engine with more plumbing than a small town water system.
