T221 Transfer Case Speedometer gear

The speedometer was not working so i took out the gear and it looks like the end of the cable is snapped off inside. I have tried soaking it and drilling it to see if I could pull it out, but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pretty sure that's crimped on. Your going to have to get a new one.Attachment 2180676

That's what I thought at first , but everything I have found is just the gear? Torque King sells the gears only used and the are not cheap. Would it originally come with the speedometer cable attached?

Yes the gear comes off. I just put it in the vice and whack it and it came off. I haven't looked into a replacement lately but at least you know that the gear comes off.Attachment 2180881
