Boat "davits" Stock ??
I can't spell, but what I am asking is if the Chrome tie downs on my Jimmy are anything offered as stock. I have seen them on three Jimmies / Blazers now????
They are about 4-5" wide and mount 6" below the top edge of my bed ??? Sorry no pics. |
My 72 K5 blazer has the factory roof rack. It also has tiedowns mounted on the bed sides, but I WASN'T thinking that they were Factory or dealer installed. Mine are the type that a "T" folds out to hook the rope to.

Mine don't look like that. My "t" actual folds out when in use and folds down away when not in use. But I don't think they're factory.

It's a cleat, not a davit.

Hey 70 Blazer....
You're right, a davit lowers the boat into the water doesn't it??? Been out of the Navy for a few years ! Still remember what a Mail Buoy is though !! I screwed-up, my CLEATS were in good shape, I trashed them thinking they were useless. Oh well, Im not a purest and can't see myself strapping anything to the top of it. (maybe a DEER.hmmm? No, TOO high up for me) |
