Today i just happen to find my parts list on my computer and thought i would share in case anyone is looking or interested.

I just put in an Eaton Limited Slip differential. No issues so far but I regret not using the Trutrac instead.

Just an FYI as I have the same diff, but Detroit specifically says not to use the limited slip additive with the Truetrac (just use GL5 like Valvoline).

So did you do an Eaton Posi or a Detroit TruTrac? You say one but then include the part for the other.

And also check the year of your rear end,1970 only has different axle lengths,

I do not remember honestly I am pretty sure I did not go with the Detroit locker,
ETN-19556-010 here is the part number for the EATON Posi

Sorry about that, this was several years ago, and summit does not let you archive past orders and they do not keep history for very long

Re: 12 bolt upgrade to posi parts list

Last time I upgraded to a posi case my parts list looked like this:

Posi case for the appropriate gear ratio
Fluid and gasket

:mm: but I am particularly frugal ;)

I wanted to do a full upgrade and refresh across the board

bigmac73,

Was the studs you used a stock length? The reason I ask is that I converted over to rear dis brakes and need a 1/2 longer stud. Any recommended parts number would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure they are the stock length,
I also installed the Wilwood rear disk brake set up and installed 20 inch wheels and tires.
I just went with a longer shank on my lug nuts that go deeper into the bolt hole

I am still working on the off frame resto so I have not had it out on the street yet

honestly the kids today are lost when it comes to reading a clock or counting money. one small 15 min lesson and a worksheet in school is about all they get nowadays. And since the wonderful debit card invention. Counting change and handing coins is obsolete so kids are not exposed to money like when I was a kid.

Curious as to your reason for thinking that.

The limited slip has clutches that wear out and require replacement. The Trutrac has helical gears rather than clutches and requires no maintenance.
