Thanks. Yeah, I did most of it in the garage but some things like the doors, hood and hatch I did in the back yard. Still need to paint the top but I ran out of warm weather.

Yeah the 15s were driving me nuts too so I put the 22s back on and haven't taken them off since. I also put the windshield in and put the hood, tailgate and hatch back on. More pics:

I also ordered a full carpet kit from Trim Parts. It's light saddle in the 80/20 loop.

My focus this winter is finishing the interior. I'm not sure if I am going to re-upholster the old seats or try to find some out of a newer Suburban. The old seat belts latch in the middle so when you put a car seat in it digs into the kids back. What do you guys think? I use it to haul the family on drives. I'd like something that is comfortable and safe. Here are the stock second and third row seats:

The burb looks great! Here's a link to adding gas struts to your liftgate without having to drill or weld anything:

I am going with the lower trim. The sub was repainted ten or so years ago and the lower molding was thrown in the trash. I am leaning toword the full trim kit from brothers, but that is $460 bucks. Ouch. brothers is having a 10% sale in december. If I can taik the wife into that right befor christmas.

Good find. I bought a lower trim set from them and saved $40. The $70 for shipping and handling that Brother's wanted was a little steep. They showed up today and here they are:

Testing how they fit:

How high did these go originally? Was it even with the body line or was there a space?

Frizzle Fry 12-20-2007 06:38 AM

Re: 1972 3dr Suburban Build Thread

I'll post a pic of mine if someone else doesn't beat me to it. It's basically right below the radius if the lower body line (as high as possible without being on the bend). Are those stick-on clips?
