Replacing 4x4 brake rotors
I have a 1990 V2500 4X4 Suburban, and my brakes have been making noise and all that. The rotors are stock, pretty sure factory. I was wondering what would be cheaper. Replacing the whole hub and rotor assembly or pressing out the hubs and pressing them into new rotors. I work at a auto parts store, so I can get the rotors discounted.

Replace the rotors. Cheaper and not that hard to do.

I got the hole hub and all at O'reilly's 69.00

Re: Replacing 4x4 brake rotors
thats a good deal. Just make sure that the splines for the lockouts is correct, I have been bitten by cheap hubs that were worthless before, but they were from autozone.

How many miles do you have on them?

Re: Replacing 4x4 brake rotors
Is there something I should know about?

Re: Replacing 4x4 brake rotors
I was just wondering how many miles you have on them, our 83 needs rotors, the O'Reilly hub/rotors cost the same as just a rotor. Hmm...
